Good Governance

This programme offers:

• support with reviewing Board and Membership structures and processes
• support with reviewing and agreeing the most appropriate distribution of roles and responsibilities between governance and management
• individual and group coaching to Board members.

Within this programme:

Amnesty International

has been supported with a review of its international Board Committees. Interviews with Amnesty’s leadership, an analysis of processes and products of the Board Committees and a comparison of the governance structures from other civil society organisations formed the basis of a number of recommendations, all of which were accepted by the Amnesty International Board.

The Center has also supported Amnesty International with the project, “Strengthening Democracy”, a review of Amnesty’s global governance, with the focus on strengthening democratic participation and increasing effectiveness.
